“Serving Our Community & World Through Christ’s Love”
At St. Andrew United Methodist Church, we believe our faith calls us beyond our walls and into the lives of others. Through partnerships with UMCOR, Residing Hope, the Children’s Hunger Project, and our local School Ministry, we are able to share God’s love in meaningful, hands-on ways—providing hope, support, and care to those in need both in our community and around the world.

CHILDREN’S HUNGER PROJECT
The Children’s Hunger Project is a local nonprofit that helps fight childhood hunger by providing weekend food to elementary school students in need. It partners with schools to send home kid-friendly, easy-to-eat meals so children have nourishment when school meals are not available.
Their mission is simple: to ensure children return to school on Monday healthy, focused, and ready to learn.
The Children’s Hunger Project helps fight childhood hunger by making sure kids have food when school meals aren’t available.
👉 Here’s what it does:
Provides weekend food – Gives elementary school children bags of easy-to-eat, non-perishable food to take home every Friday
Fills the weekend gap – Steps in when children may not have enough to eat outside of school hours
Works through schools – Teachers identify children in need, and food is discreetly sent home with them
Uses volunteers & donations – Food is purchased, packed, and delivered with the help of the community
In short: It makes sure children don’t go hungry over the weekend so they can return to school healthy, focused, and ready to learn.
