Our Mission

Follow Christ • Offer Hope • Serve Our Community

Everything we do as a church flows from this mission. We seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, share His hope with others, and actively serve the people around us.

Our Strategy

NURTURE

Nurture takes many forms within the life of the church. It happens through community worship, prayer, Bible study, and the ministries that care for one another.

It may be experienced during Sunday worship, in small groups, through personal prayer and Scripture study, or through our Congregational Care ministries that support those in need.

Simply put, nurture is how we care for one another as part of the church family.

OUTREACH

Outreach is how we live out Christ’s command to love others. It is what we do to serve and support people beyond the walls of our church.

At St. Andrew, outreach happens through our school ministries, community outreach events, service opportunities, and prayerful support of ministries that share the love of Christ in our community and around the world.

Through outreach, we seek to bring hope, compassion, and practical help to others.

Pastor
Rev. Joseph Fisher

Pastor Joe was born & grew up in Buckhannon, West Virginia. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Later he attended West Va. Wesleyan College (WVWC) where he met his wife Laura. He entered pastoral ministry in 1987. The Fisher's married in 1988 & graduated from WVWC in 1990. Joe earned a B.A. with dual majors in Christian Education & Religion. A few years later the Fisher's both graduated from Emory Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia earning their Master of Divinity degrees. In 1994 they returned to ministry in WV. Through a chain of events the Fisher's came to ministry in FL in 1996 & in 1999 Joe transferred from the West Va. UMC to the Florida UMC as an ordained Elder. He served various Methodist churches in FL from 1996-2004. Then in 2004 Joe sensed a call to return to the Air Force this time as a military chaplain & officer. With his prior-enlisted time & 16-years as a chaplain, Joe retired from the military in Nov. 2020 with 22-years of active duty service. His journey has now taken him full circle returning to pastoral ministry in FL & St Andrew. Joe loves all things "air & space," and both he and Laura are history buffs & nature lovers. They are delighted to live here in Titusville & the "Space Coast" area & are thrilled to join the St Andrew family!

Dianne Patterson has served as the Church Administrator at St. Andrew United Methodist Church since 2022. In this role, she helps keep the daily operations of the church running smoothly, coordinating schedules, supporting church leadership, and assisting members and visitors who contact the church office.

With a welcoming spirit and a heart for service, Dianne is often one of the first people members and guests connect with when they reach out to St. Andrew. Her organization, dedication, and attention to detail help create a warm and supportive environment for our church family.

Dianne’s work behind the scenes allows many of the ministries at St. Andrew to flourish, and we are grateful for the many ways she supports the life and mission of our church.”

When asked where Dawn is from, she is likely to say South Carolina.  She was born in Kinder, Louisiana, lived in multiple locations with her father’s Air Force career, spending her teenage & young adult years in South Carolina. She found Charleston, SC, her “happy place” & calls Charleston home.  A NASA professional career brought Dawn & her family to Florida. An invitation by a friend brought her to St. Andrew UMC where she now happily works as our Church Bookkeeper. Dawn loves spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors in her yard, reading, & traveling.
